Description
If you like Ligustrum but have never had the space for one, meet ‘Little Moon’ a cute little true dwarf that forms a dense mound to only 2 feet tall and 3 feet wide with absolutely no pruning necessary. That said, little fella is an excellent candidate for bonsia. Both the dark green evergreen leaves and the fragrant white flower panicles that come in late spring are about a quarter the size of its larger growing Ligustrum japonicum cousins. Exceptionally tough and easy to grow, perfect for containers or in small landscape spaces and foundation plantings. A must have low-maintenance addition to rock gardens.
Landscape & Garden Uses
Growing 1.5 to 2.5 feet tall and 2.5 to 3.5 feet wide (depending on pruning), Little Moon Ligustrum is ideal for use as an accent in smaller garden spaces and containers or in groupings or as a low hedge in larger spaces and home foundation plantings. Excellent as an underplanting for small trees such as Crape Myrtle and upright Japanese maples. A fine addition to miniature or bonsai gardens, fragrance gardens, white theme gardens and rock gardens.
Suggested Spacing: 2 feet apart for solid hedges; 5 feet or more apart for space between plants
Growing Preferences
Little Moon Ligustrum is easy to grow in most any moist but well-drained soil of average fertility and full sun to part shade. Pruning is not necessary unless your using this one for bonsai.

Received plants in a timely manner. Unfortunately UPS crushed one end of the box and one of the plants had lost all of its soil into the bag that was wrapped around the plant container. Some of the plant branches were also damaged. Hopefully the plant will snap back and flourish despite it being “damaged” during shipping. Plants are small but quite healthy looking when received.

These plants were beautifully packed and extremely healthy! They are small (1 gallon) but I chose them for that reason as they are going to be container plants in 5 gallon pots. I also really liked the fact that they came with planting instructions for pots.
