At Healthy Plant Shop, we nurture every plant with care and extend the same thoughtful attention to our return policy. While we hope every botanical specimen arrives in perfect condition and meets your expectations, we understand that sometimes returns or exchanges are necessary.

Our Return Policy

We accept returns and exchanges within 15 days of receiving your order. To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused, in its original packaging, and in the same condition as you received it. Please note that certain living plants have special considerations (see below).

Special Note on Live Plants

Due to the delicate nature of our rare azaleas, Japanese maples, and rare conifers, these plants cannot be returned or exchanged unless they arrive damaged or diseased. Please inspect these specimens immediately upon arrival and contact us within 48 hours if there are any issues.

Return Process

  1. Contact Us: Email our customer care team at [email protected] within 15 days of receiving your order. Use the subject line “Return Request: [Your Order Number]”.
  2. Provide Details: Include photos of any damaged items and a brief explanation of why you’re requesting a return.
  3. Receive Instructions: We’ll respond within 2 business days with return authorization and shipping instructions.
  4. Ship Your Return: Package the item securely using the original packaging when possible. Include all original tags and documentation.
  5. Wait for Processing: Once we receive your return, we’ll inspect it and notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

Refund Information

Approved refunds will be processed to your original payment method within 5-7 business days after we receive and inspect the return. Shipping costs are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error.

For exchanges, we’ll ship the replacement item once we receive your return. If the replacement item costs more, you’ll be charged the difference; if it costs less, we’ll refund the difference.

Return Shipping

Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the return is due to our error (wrong item shipped or damaged item). We recommend using a trackable shipping service and purchasing shipping insurance for valuable plants.

Damaged or Incorrect Items

If your plants arrive damaged or if you received the wrong item, please contact us immediately at [email protected] with photos of the damaged item and packaging. We’ll arrange for a replacement or refund as quickly as possible.

Non-Returnable Items

Certain items cannot be returned due to their delicate nature or international agricultural regulations:

  • Rare azaleas and rare flowering plants (unless damaged upon arrival)
  • Japanese maple trees (unless damaged upon arrival)
  • Rare conifers (unless damaged upon arrival)
  • Any plant that has been removed from its original packaging or planted
  • Gift cards
